Our Mission.

Inspired by gospel values, we, Kenosha St. Vincent de Paul, must further ensure a more dignified life for all, create opportunity, and increase awareness, to insure more financial stability for all individuals, and the community at large. We must continue to further the belief that each of us is a child or gift of God and therefore, treated with love and kindness and respect. 

About the program

The program is based on the “Getting Ahead in a Just-Gettin’-By World” workbook by Philip Devol. Getting Ahead is an internationally recognized anti-poverty program that more than 100,000 adults have participated in. Getting Ahead not only supports participants in working towards their “future story,” but explores how all economic classes must work together to make the community a place where everyone can live well. ​
